Watson spends New Year in Germany

January 11, 2008

Hey, Ben it’s here - Just letting you know about my trip to Germany over Christmas with my friends Jamie McCanney, Kyle Casement, Kristian Whatley and Lewis Rose.

The first track we stopped at was Dunkirk, the track was very good even though it had been raining the night before so the sand was not deep and it was easy to ride the big track on my 65 + 85. Also it was a lot warmer than when I went with the academy so I didn’t have to use my big stupid hand guards my dad made me.

After riding my Dad set off to Germany we got there at about 3AM but that was ok because I can sleep while we drive. In the morning we were straight on the bikes again at a huge sand quarry. There is a motocross track and lots of enduro courses.

After some riding on the track in the morning I went on the big enduro up hills and through some woods it was great fun. The next track I went to was local to where we were staying; it was a rough sand track with big doubles and a few supercross sections.

Lewis and Whatley were clearing a massive double and my brother Ryan had a go at it, he did it the first time but on the second time had a massive over the bars!

The next day we went to a hard pack track but all night it didn’t stop snowing so the track was covered, I’ve never rode in the snow before so it was really good but after a while the lines we were taking got really icy and I slid out and hurt my knee so that was it for the rest of the day.

On New Year’s Eve my Dads friend had a party and we were letting off fire crackers and massive fireworks! On New Year’s Day my Dads friend took us out on a fun trail ride, we had to ride bikes down the road and through a forest! After he took us to see a German championship track, we did 1 lap together then went back to his house. On the Last day we rode at Dunkirk again and I had another wicked day riding and playing on my minibike before we caught the ferry home to England.
