Winning ways for Watson

Ok I’m a bit late with this report but the wind blew our phone line down so our internet has been off for a while, I’ve done quite a bit of racing since my last report my first race on the 65cc with the 85cc small wheels was in Holland at a Supercross race. It went well I won all my heat races and both finals on the night.
The next event was at Wilden Lane the first outdoor race for me, again which went well with three wins. Polesworth was next where the big wheel 85’s and small wheels were all in together I went well again, beating all the small wheel boys.
In the last race I got a fourth place in the whole race behind three big wheeled riders Arron Pipon , Luke Newman and Joe Jones.

My dad told me I would up there because in training my times are always not too far from Dan Thornhill who is fast on the big wheel.
I raced in London for the o2 Supercross, when we got there the track was good and pretty safe for us little guys - not too many big jumps. I find when one rider does the big triple they all have a go and that’s when things get messy.
In practise no one was faster than me according to my dad but there wasn’t much between any of us we where all doing the jumps, I went into the first heat and I got a good start and went on to win it.
The final on the night was late for us in fact the second to last race it must have been about 10.30PM, the gate went down and I got mid pack start, I managed to get up to third behind Daniel Clark but he held the racing line through the back rhythm section and this was costing me time I couldn’t get past - I left it too late eventually getting him on the whoop section, I could then see winner James Dunn in front of me but it was too late I had to settle for second when the flag came out.
So then Sunday we all went off to Mildenhall for a day’s racing most of the boys from the Supercross raced – it was a good day and I took the overall win.
