Waterman’s new passion wagon just the job
July 15, 2008
Hey Guys, Just typing to say how the weekend was, and my results.
i arrived at the track, Woodford for round 6 of BYMX Championship, the track was really grippy and i was feeling confident. i had a early night on friday night as there was nothing to do, first sleep in the new Valkswagon Crafter Motorhome. i was up at 7.45am ready to meet up on the start straight with the ACU guys, and most of us was a little late which meant 10 press ups!! i went out for free practice and i loved the track it was bermed up ready to race i just cruised around the track looking for lines feeling good.
i went out for qualifying at set the 2nd fastest lap time which meant 4th rider onto the gates.

Race 1 - i got out the gate good, but i braked too early for the first corner, and i was caught up in traffic, i pushed through to 7th behind Edward Allingham and he crashed into the berm i was in right in front of me and i couldn't do nothing to save it, i got going but my back brake wasn't working so i couldn't push that hard to gain points, ended up 22nd. after the race my ACU Coach Mark Hucklebridge told me to brake later into the first corner.
Race 2, i got a good jump but wheelied a bit i braked a bit to late into the corner and crashed in the 2nd corner, i got up quickly i was about mid pack i pushed really hard to pass as many as i could, and i ended up 3rd 1 second behind 2nd place and 6 seconds behind 1st place, and setting the fastest lap.
race 3, i got the best start i've had this year i was 3rd but i was having clutch problems for the first half of the race and dropped back to 6th then the second half it was okay, i pushed back to 3rd and 1st and 2nd was too far ahead to catch.
Overall, i got 7th overall, Championship, i am now 11th in the Championship, i expected to be higher after this weekend. i'll be at whitby Next weekend for the Elite Youth Cup which i'm currently 2nd in the championship.
