I met you at Hawkstone at the Maxxis and gave you the drawing I did of you and you kindly signed it, and then later gave me your shirt, which I would like to thank you for. I would like to know, although you have not been pro for long, what other gifts have you received from fans or what are your best racing memories to date. — Matt Lofthouse
Hey! I haven’t really had many gifts from fans, as last year was really my first year as a pro, so yours was my first one! I still have it on my wall now. My best memory was at the British GP when I got my first podium, I hope to be having a lot more of those this year.

I just wanted to ask if you eat any particular foods and drinks before and between races to keep your endurance and energy in top form. I understand pasta and bananas but wondered if there is a winning combination that you have found, Many thanks. — George Foot
Hey! Normally I would just eat rice in between races at Gp’s and sometimes pasta. I try to eat as many carbs as possible before the next race and get as much fluids into me (normally Red Bull and lots of water)

If you weren’t racing motocross what do you think you’d be doing with yourself? Is that something you’ve ever thought about or have you just always believed you’d make it as a motocross rider? — Josh Jennings (JJ)
I would probably be working for my dad with my brother doing property development. When I didn’t used to go to school much I would normally go and help my dad out anyways. I was normally on the broom! But I would still be doing motocross for fun, it’s just always something I’ve wanted to do.

Do you really live with Jamie Dobb or is that just something someone has made up? If so does he get you doing all the housework and cooking? — Ryan Lockley #37
Yeah I live up in Derby with Jamie most of the time now because my trainer, Kirk lives up here and I want to spend as much time as possible with him. Also I have a perfect place to ride at my friend Ed’s house, he’s also a sponsor of mine, motorpoint.co.uk. I don’t do the cooking. Jamie likes to cook so I always have good food every night so it’s all cool.

Firstly I’d like to say what a difference you’ve made to British motocross. Along with Billy MacKenzie you’ve given us some hope and pride, I hope it brings success for both of you so that we can all hang off the back of it and feel good. Ok my question is this; Have you at anytime stopped to think how what you say and do effects other people now that you’re in the public domain? — Kiaran Moores, Tiverton
No I haven’t really thought about that before but I try to be honest and tell people how it is. That’s the set way to be with people I reckon, then it’s easier to communicate with people.
