HIGH FIVES - Neville Bradshaw

May 21, 2008

We caught up with Neville Bradshaw recently to grab a quick High Five's on what's going down with the 24 year old super stylish South African.

MOTO: How pleased are you with how the season has started for you?
“The season has started fine but I'm starting to ride a lot better now, I've made some changes to the bike with the suspension and the motor, and I'm enjoying riding the bike now, it's weird though because every season April is always a hard month for me, but this year I don't know why but I've been riding a bit better maybe it's because the sun has started shining, but in all it's looking good so far, I wanna push on and build on what I've done so far.”

MOTO: Are you enjoying life on the new DB Racing team?
“Yeah it's pretty good, it’s pretty chilled! Obviously everyone is still learning a lot because it's a new team, I'm learning, they're learning but yeah all in all it's alright.”

MOTO: Are you hoping to get a Grand Prix entry for Mallory Park?
“Yeah, we've put the entry in so we hope to be there, it would be good to go there and race the G.P guys, I race with some of them at the Maxxis Championship and I can keep up with their speed. We've also put an entry in for the Irish G.P the week after so it would be good to have a crack at those two races.”

MOTO: Do you ever plan on going back to South Africa to race before your career is over?
“No, not really. I went back last winter and did some racing just for fun, but it has to be for fun there because you’re not going to make anything from it, so you need to get a job as well and stuff, but it was good to go back and ride because the weather is nice and the tracks are good there, but I don't think I'll ever go back to race properly over there, maybe just the odd G.P or whatever.”

MOTO: Where do you hope to finish come the end of the season?
“I'd like to be in the top 5 of the Maxxis, I'm in fifth at the moment and Elliot Banks-Browne is only 4 points in front of me in fourth but then there's quite a gap up to Martin Barr in third but I believe I can race with those guy's every weekend. Optimistically I'd like to go top 3 but I'll be happy to come away with top 5, it's a really competitive class but I can do it!”

Thanks for the chat Nevsta, good luck for the rest of the year.
