High Fives with Alex Snow of KTM UK

March 13, 2008

Nineteen year old Alex Snow from Tiverton in North Devon finds himself in his fourth Maxxis British Championship campaign and this year sees him change team and manufacture from Relentless Suzuki last to KTM UK this year. I caught up with Alex at the opening round of the Maxxis British Championship round at Donington Park to see how things were going.

MOTO: How did last season go for you?

AS: Last year was pretty average I feel and I felt that I didn’t achieve what I set out to achieve. My biggest problem I found was that I was unable to have good successive weekends in a row.

MOTO: Last year saw you compete in your first ever Grand Prix and successfully qualify, can you describe how that felt?

AS: SWEET - It felt awesome, to qualify was a big stepping stone and I felt my experience I had gained in the Europeans helped me in the qualifying.

MOTO: This year sees you change manufacture and team - How are you finding life with KTM UK?

AS: Everyone has been very friendly towards myself and are very welcoming, I feel the bike suits my riding style and KTM are always pushing to improve themselves.

MOTO: How has this season started for you?

AS: The pre season internationals didn’t go as I would have liked them too but I was ready for the opening round of the Under 21s Championship at Little Silver and I ended up with the overall with two race victories so I was happy with that.

MOTO: What are your goals for 2008?

AS: Firstly I’d like to win the Under 21s Championship, I’d also like to be running consistently top 10 in the Maxxis British motocross championship and finally I’d like to qualify for as many GP’s as I can and gain as many grand prix points as possible.
