Actress Penelope Ann Miller does motocross

Penelope Ann Miller has joined "High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu in the motocross action-drama film "Free Style." Previously titled "Metal Birding," the indie movie has also seen William Dear ("Angels in the Outfield") replace Jeff Woolnough ("Battlestar Galactica") as director. No reason for the change was cited by producer Rigel Entertainment.
The coming-of-age story centers on a young motocross racer (Bleu) who aspires to win the Amateur National Championships while struggling to support his family. Miller will play a single working mom.
Additionally, real-life motocross star Grant Langston has joined the cast as a racing champion revered by Bleu's character. Filming began last month in Vancouver.
Miller, who recently completed production on the indie drama "Saving Grace," will be seen next in the Sony Pictures comedy "Blonde Ambition." She received a Golden Globe nomination for her supporting role in the Al Pacino gangster movie "Carlito's Way."
