Fed up with shopping every weekend? Why not pop along to Rynie in Aberdeenshire for the fourth round of the Scottish MX2 and Youth Motocross Championships. The action on the 7th and 8th of June takes place at the superb Rynie Motocross Track with a selection of tabletop jumps and twisty sections for excellent spectating. Riders from all over Britain and Ireland will be competing in this, the fourth round of the Championships, hosted by the Aberdeen & District Motocross Club.
The championship races will be held over two days, with the youth classes having three races each on Saturday and two each on Sunday. The Youth 144/250f class is currently lead by Gary Sharp who will be trying to fend off the likes of Mark Perfect and Steven Rennie while the youth 125 class is hotly contested by Ryan McLean and Aberdeenshire’s Aidan Bruce. In the 85 Big Wheel class current British champion, Matthew Fleming, will be out to continue his fine run of form and extend his championship lead and in the 85 Small Wheel class English raider Sam Winterburn tops the tables being chased hard by Ryan Livingstone. Junior 65cc rider Jay Lamb sits comfortably on top of the series standings being hounded by the likes of local ace Daniel Dey .
The adults on their fire spitting MX2 250cc machines will have three races on the Sunday. Locally based riders are filling three out of the top four places at the top of the championship table with Sean McDonald leading and Joe Garrick and Frazer Norrie in third and fourth
