Mallory Park is all set for bumper weekend of race action

May 22, 2008

What do you get if you cross one mighty fine road racing facility, thousands of tonnes of dirt, hundreds of hours of graft and a promoter who wants motocross to be taken into the 21st century – answer the 2008 British motocross Grand Prix.

Today saw the final dress rehearsal for the main event which will be staged next weekend at Mallory Park, there’s no two ways about it people had their doubts when the venue was chosen to host this year’s championship but Gareth Hockey and his team of extremely hard working staff have designed a track fit for the world’s elite motocross riders.

The track itself is technical, creative, old school, new school and spectator friendly just what British motocross has been crying out for.

Today saw Tommy Searle, Billy Mackenzie, Brad Anderson, Mel Pocock (pictured), Jake Nicholls, Elliott Banks Browne and twenty of the world’s finest motocross forum members test certain areas of the track ready for next weekend’s event – overall opinion was positive and all are eager to get back next week to watch or as in the pro’s case RACE!

So all you need to do is log on to Britishmxgp.com and order your tickets for what will be a weekend to remember down at Mallory Park.

Keep your eyes glued to MOTO tomorrow as a feature length video of what went down today will be aired online, interviews with the stars, a track walk, one almighty leap and MOTO’s new presenter Georgia – certainly one not to be missed.
