Midway review of British Maxxis motocross championship

May 12, 2008

Midway review of British Maxxis motocross championship Way back in October 2007 I posted the “Movers and Shakers” piece giving my predictions of positions for this year’s British championship.

Let’s take a look and see what was said back in October.

Wayne Smith
Prediction 6th – actual at present 6th

Pascal Leuret
Prediction 4th – actual at present 11th

Jake Nicholls
Prediction 8th – actual at present 22nd

Elliott Banks Browne
Prediction 10th – actual at present 4th

Brad Anderson
Prediction 4th – actual at present 3rd

Billy Mackenzie
Prediction 1st – actual at present 1st

Mike Brown
Prediction 3rd – actual at present 15th

Shaun Simpson
Prediction 2nd – actual at present 2nd

Jordan Rose
Prediction 5th – actual at present 14th

Stephen Sword
Prediction 1st – actual at present 1st

Tom Church
Prediction 3rd – actual at present 5th

Looking at what was said at the time it wasn’t too far off, Leuret and Nicholls have suffered injures which put them out for a number of races, Banks Browne is maturing nicely into a world class rider and is improving at every race, Mike Brown’s had a nightmare so far but he’s still capable of a race win, Jordan Rose has had bike problems but a switch to a new team may solve that and the rest are not far off what was predicted – let’s see at the end of the year.
