Motul Hare Scramble Championship decided
September 27, 2007
The three round Motul GB Hare Scramble Championships came to an end this weekend at Carrog in North Wales on a challenging and fast 6.6 mile circuit where the final championship standings for 2007 would be decided. Starting in the youth classes Kawasaki rider Dominic Thomas secured third place in the under 11’s race, which with his previous results of a 2nd and 3rd put him in 3rd overall in the class, and the first 65cc machine in the 2007 championship. A great result for Dominic racing against the larger and more powerful 85cc machines. In the two hour race sister to Dominic, Sophie took full control in the ladies class on her KX85 and stormed to her second win in the series! A 2nd and two 1st places earned Sophie the title of 2007 Ladies GB Hare Scramble Champion, a fantastic achievement for Sophie at only 14 years of age and racing against adults on full size machines. In the open class Ryan Voase had to settle for 5th place overall after only finishing one round due to injurys. Ryan will be back in 2008 for sure to get back the open title he won in 2005.Send this article to a friend
