Santiago, the capital of the South America's country Chile will host the twelfth event for the FIM MX3 World Championship this weekend. It will be one of the most interesting events in this season, as it will be the first time, that riders for the FIM MX3 World Championship will compete out of Europe.
The organizer, Chilean Moto Federation is promising the great event on the race track Laguna Caren. They have the big support of the Honda Moto Chile, that will have many representatives at this event. The second rider of the MX3 Championship Classification Cristian Beggi (Italy) is one of the Honda riders and he was the first European rider, who arrived in Santiago. Championship leader Sven Breugelmans (KTM) is the debtor from the last event. Belgian rider did not finish the second race and now he can not afford any mistake if he wants to stay on the top. There will be also the strong Husqvarna Sima team with the last winners, French riders Thomas Allier and Christophe Martin. The season is running to the end and they are more and more strong.
The Chilean event will be the new experience for all of the European riders. They does not know the race track and also not the South American's riders. COMMENTS OF THE TEAMS:
Jacky Martens, JM KTM Racing Team Manager: »In Santiago our team will be represented by two riders, Sven Breugelmans (Belgium) and Alvaro Lozano (Spain). First we will have the meeting for the riders and supporters of KTM, after there will be the press conference. On Thursday we are planning to have the practice for our two riders. I hope the organization of the Chilean event will be as good as our MX3 events in Europe and we will have the good conditions for the competition. At the moment we have a good support of the KTM America. We do not know the race track but as we are informed, I think our riders can conquer good results.
Daniele Soligo, Honda Martin Team Manager: »In Chile there will be four people from our team. The result of our rider Cristian Beggi will be very important. He is fighting for the top. There are only 5 points of difference between him and the leader Breugelmans. I expect the good organized event and the great experience.
Gualtiero Scaltritti, Husqvarna Sima Team Manager: »For our Husqvarna team it will be the first time that we are going to the Chile. We will try to get as many points as possible. For me there is no difference between our riders Christophe Martin and Thomas Allier. The most important is, that they always try to fight for the best positions. In my opinion they are able to win and I think also in Chile they will do their best.
Christophe Martin, Husqvarna Sima: »I can't wait to go to compete out of the Europe. It will be my first overseas event. Regarding to my position in the Championship Classification, I do not have anything to lose. I just wish to stay close to the top. As always I will do my best for the good result.
Ivo Steinbergs, Team Elksni Latvia: »I think it will be fun and adventure to go to the Chile. Everything will start already with the long travel, I hope all of us will have a safe travel. It will be interesting to see the way of living in the South America. I have been visit many countries, but not yet South America. I do not know anything about their riders, who will be our rivals and it will be one of the most interesting things. The country and conditions will be different as usually, so we will see what the race will bring us.

Cristian Beggi was the first European rider who arrived in Santiago
