PRE-REGISTERED TRANSPONDERS SAVE TIME AT WESTON BEACH RACE

August 21, 2008

Those who already have their own transponder can save time by not queuing at this year’s Weston Beach Race, as RHL Activities launches a pre-registration service via the event’s new website.

The 2000 competitors that are expected to head to the Weston-super-Mare shoreline on the 11th and 12th of October can register their transponder in advance, which will vastly reduce the masses of administration at the annual beach race. A new online system, where competitors log onto the website and input their name, race number and transponder information, will improve the queuing time for those wishing to take part.

To promote this quicker, more efficient form of entering, RHL Activities has entered into a deal with the Weston Beach Race’s official timing company HS Sports and any competitor of this year’s race can enjoy a 10% discount on the retail price of an AMB transponder. In addition to this, those who purchase one of these race devices can benefit from free SMS results to their mobile phone in 2009, as the timing specialist looks to further advance the technology used at the beach event. Racers should contact HS Sports directly on 01260 275708 quoting their rider number and promotion code WBR08TX.

Anyone who has purchased or already owns a transponder can only register their device once they have entered the race, which can be done by using the downloadable entry form available on the website.

Further information on RHL Activities’ advanced system for entries, passes and transponders can be found at the official Weston Beach Race website online at: http://www.wbruk.com.
