Mega payday for Belgium MX2 riders

The 2008 Belgian Motocross championships will see a new look Radson MX2 Trophy. After three consecutive seasons as a championship that was only open to riders holding a Belgian licence the Radson trophy will be from now on international again. Apart from the fact that other international riders are once again eligible to pursue the Belgian MX2 title.
The six organizing clubs and Belgian MX Nationals promotors Score! have upped the ante by creating a brand new points fund for the top 10 riders in the overall championship standings. The total pay out will be 15.750 Euros which will be distributed as follows:
1st place 4.000 €
2nd place 2.750 €
3rd place 2.250 €
4th place 1.750 €
5th place 1.500 €
6th place 1.000 €
7th place 800 €
8th place 700 €
9th place 500 €
10th place 500 €
Total Purse: 15.750 €
MXWorld.be Holeshot Award
But there’s more cash to be made. At each round of the Radson Trophy a 200 Euro cheque courtesy of mxworld.be will go to the winner of the MXWorld Holeshot Award. The MXWorld Holeshot Award goes to the rider who takes the holeshot in the first Radson Trophy heat of the day.
This is Belgium’s biggest and fastest Motocross news source’s way of backing the sport! This means that during the six rounds of the Radson Trophy MX2 a total of € 1200 will be up for grabs through the MXWorld Holeshot Award. The above mentioned bonus schemes are in addition to the already existing prize money of € 3.870 for each round of the Radson Trophy MX2. This means total prize money of this year’s championship is 40.170 Euro.
The Radson MX2 Trophy runs in conjunction with the United Telecom MX1 Trophy on the following schedule.
March 30 Beervelde: round 1
June 22 Kester: round 2
July 27 Nismes: round 3
August 15 Balen: round 4
August 17 Orp-Le-Grand: round 5
September 21/9 Pierreux: round 6
