Rider Appeal for Leukaemia Research

August 23, 2007

Hi

My name is Simon Lees, and I am writing to you to ask for as much publicity as possible to help me raise money for Leukaemia Research.

I am taking part in the Weston Super Mare Beach race on 21st October this year, and am riding in aid of Leukaemia Research. I have created my own website (http://www.riderappeal4leukaemia.webeden.co.uk) which explains why I am raising money for them. I set my target at £1000, but am near to reaching this already, so I am going to riase the bar and try for £2500, and who knows, with your help, maybe I can reach this and have to raise it again!

As an added bonus, I have designed a replica race shirt to the one I will be wearing on race day, which has been doing the rounds at the Maxxis British Championship Round at Skelder, the MotoGP's in both Germany and America, and will also be signed by John McGuiness, possibly John 'shirty' Shirt - not yet confirmed - plus a few others time permitting. This shirt will then be auctioned off somehow - with a little help from yourselves????? - possibly on ebay, to add to the final amount of money raised. I have attached a picture of the shirt with some of the signatures on. All names are listed on the website of those who have signed it. Currently I am waiting for the shirt to come back from the USA so I can update it with the full list of GP riders who have signed.

If you give me as much publicity as possible, it would really help to raise the money - there is a donate link on the website which runs through Paypal, or if you can't help with the publicity itsself, any other help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time in reading this, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Simon Lees
