** Something for the weekend **

July 20, 2007

“Well I’m off to Landrake for the second instalment of the Elite Youth Cup, after the success of the first round at Matchams I’m really looking forward to this one. Hopefully the feedback I’m going to get from the awesome feature we ran in issue 21 is going to be all good – I just hope the weather holds up.

Expect a nice piece on the event on the site on Monday morning including some wallpapers you can download and some gossip of what went down in deepest Landrakesville – Chussy”.

“My weekend - well after being sick as a dog since last Thursday and still feeling like a cod in a Jacuzzi, I will be wheeling out my factory BSA bantam with 15 inches of travel both ends for a ride round my backyard Supercross track.
Gerrit Wolsink will be here on Saturday morning to do some dentistry on me as my root canal filling has gone missing. Noyce's coming over as well to finish up the pointing on my house and have some of my mums home made chutney and cheese sarnies - his favourite.
James Carter the Factory Media big wig will be bringing his motor home with him for the Swedish MXDN team of 1951 to stay in, to be honest if I get a chance I might pop down to B&Q to get some anti fungicide treatment for my wall.
All in all it’s the same shit different day type of deal for a superstar rock god bell-end like me.

Funny enough Caters just turned up in the caravan, I'm sure Sten Lundins in there somewhere – Tim

“Well, well, well, something for the weekend eh? What about a coat? Or an Ark even? Realistically that’s what you’re going to need. I’ve just been sat in the kitchen listening to the weather report on the Radio2 (can’t stand Radio1, I’m way past that!) and it sounds absolutely horrendous out there.

Luckily I live in the English Rivera and right now we’re currently getting sun shining down on us but I don’t reckon it’s going to be like that for most this weekend.
Finally I have a weekend off from going to a race or doing something MOTO.
In fact I think other than Chussy the whole MOTO crew are going to be getting some downtime along with the GP stars, it’s been well earned too for everyone. Although motocross at the high end always looks glamorous it is anything but at times whether you are a rider or not. Poor old Blissy is a physical wreck at the moment; in fact he’s so bad he can often be found sleeping like baby out in the infield of a GP when he should be taking pics!!
No doubt most of the riders are also looking forward to weekend off to recharge the batteries and go again for the big push towards the end of the year. We certainly need a refresh so they must be feeling it and to think those footballers moan about being tired!

Talking of Mr.Chuss may I just say how delighted I am that he’s joined the party as contributing Editor. Finally I might actually start finding the time to see my girlfriend although she probably doesn’t want to see me right now.
I look like a cloning experiment between Uncle Fester and Iggy Pop gone horrendously wrong. Having Raymondo on board and taking care of this website is a huge weight of my mind and as he’s already proving by busting my balls about getting this written up, he’s keen as mustard.

Well, really there isn’t much to say other than whatever you’re doing this weekend, whether it’s racing in the mud and rain or staying in and doing a bit of DIY or cooking the Sunday Roast just make sure you have fun doing it. We may not all be out in the field this weekend but try to get your peepers hooked up on here again on Monday morning to find out all the gossip from the weekend. Got to go, it’s starting to rain and the washing is on the line!! Tragic!!!!! - Jeff
