SUZUKI VICTORIOUS IN CUMBRIA

July 17, 2007

Elliott, who suffered a leg injury at the last round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship opted not to ride in the World round in Italy this weekend, instead competing at the Deane Moore round of the under 21 series, going on to win both races convincingly. Joining the Suzuki success in Cumbria were series regulars Lewis Gregory and Alex Snow, who were out to gain more important points.

Competing in the four-stroke class, Relentless Suzuki rider Lewis Gregory gave himself a tough task by entering his RM-Z250 against a field made up largely of 450 machines. A strong ride in both races saw Lewis the first 250 home in both, while securing fifth overall on the day.

Back in the Under 21 category team-mate Alex Snow managed to join Elliott on the podium in race two, securing a third place finish, after claiming a fifth place result in the first race of the day.

Suzuki GB marketing manager Paul de Lusignan commented, “Well done to both teams this weekend. It’s encouraging to see such strong performances from our riders, while supporting a national championship. The RM-Z250 really showed its potential in the hands of our young talent”.
