The curtain closer for Anaheim in 2008
February 05, 2008
The curtain closer on this years Anaheim trilogy went down Saturday night. The action on the track was edge of the seat stuff all night long and I uncovered some more good stuff in the pits. Let’s go!!
SX Main
Chad holeshot but Windham hung with him until his tire let both itself and Kevin down and old KW ended up 4th. Kevin was looking stronger and more aggressive than he has for some time so perhaps Reed won’t be cruising through the series as much as a lot of people thought he would when Bubba pulled out. Tim Ferry remains as consistent as ever and had a solid ride to get on the 3rd shelf of the podium. Davi Millsaps got a career best 2nd so perhaps he’s harnessed the locked in fart bubbles to help “gas” his way to the front?Lites
I gotta start betting on J-Law, for the 2nd straight week he went and did what I said he would and won. In the usual crazy lites class he’s only 8 points off leading the whole shooting match despite the fact Dungey has won 3 rounds and Lawrence failed to score a single point at A-2!!One constant in this class though is Pro Circuit and Saturday was a reminder of last summer where Pro Circuit pretty much owned the podium. Stroupe & Metcalf have got things dialed in and were looking very string all night. Reardon only managed 8th on Saturday but is only 16 points out of 1st and the way this class twists and turns must still consider himself a contender. Report by MOTO WEB CONTRIBUTER Sean Gruchy
