Yamaha Winners all at UK’s MXGP!

August 29, 2007

Alongside Antonio Cairoli’s amazing debut MX1 ride on a brand new 2008 model YZ450F (delivered to Donington Park from stock on Friday), two members of the 28,000 strong spectators were lucky enough to win signed race shirts belonging to MX1 factory riders, Josh Coppins and Marc de Reuver.

Both Sam Jiggins (below) and Chris Hodgkinson entered the Yamaha competition along with hundreds of other hopefuls, all vying to grab themselves a genuine Yamaha rider’s race shirt, complete with sponsors logos and rider’s names on the rear. Runner up prizes of signed Yamaha polo shirts went to 5 other lucky entrants. Chris from Rotherham took away the de Reuver shirt while a very chuffed Sam who hails from Stanstead in Essex, bagged Coppins’ factory racewear. Staff from Yamaha Motor UK and local Stratford-upon-Avon dealers, Ride MX, were in attendance at Donington’s inaugural MXGP to show off the 2008 YZ250 and 450Fs as well as the new black framed YZ85. Yamaha’s Marketing Manager, Simon Belton, commented ‘The Yamaha marquee has been in attendance at many European MXGPs and we were glad to be there with a few 2008 models talking to fans. Congratulations to Sam and Chris – they were both really pleased with their wins and the shirts fitted them too!’
