Charnock Richard MCC Awards 2007 Evening

February 14, 2008

Briars Hall Hotel in Lathom, Lancashire, were host to Charnock Richards MotoX Club's awards evening for the 2007 season. Not your usual venue for a bunch of hairy bikers, but Charnock Richard MCC aren't your usual bunch of bikers either.

With the salubrious surroundings as a backdrop, the club members were quite at home with their seated meal prior to the awards, with a dance to follow.

David Bennett did well, picking up three trophies (750 Experts 1st, Best Worker and Best Turned Out). Luke Norton was another big winner (Inter Juniors 10-12yrs 1st, Most Points in Club, UK Phoneshop Trophy. Congratulations to all winners!

Eddie Goodram, club secretary, announced he would retire at the close of the 2008 season, along with Steve Clitheroe (club chairman) and George Gregory (club treasurer). Whilst this means a change of leadership at Charnock Richard MCC, it doesn't affect Eddie's position as North West Area Coordinator.
