March 11, 2008

The Warley Wasps held the second round of the qualifiers at Woodcock Farm and the weather held up for a great days racing!

The auto were the first off the line and this was a really hard track for them with it being up and down hills on the stones but that didn’t stop Owen Woodhouse from taking the overall. Elliot Wood was once again at the front of the pack battling with him and it went down to the last race for the overall! In third and fourth place George Simutch was racing Archie collier the racing was close but it was George that came out on top.

Next out was the 65’s and it was close between Henry Williams and Jordan Saunders, it was good racing between them all day. Jordan Saunders winning the first race with Henry second then Henry went on to win the second and third race. William Pountney was consistent throughout the day with three thirds.

In the SW 85’s it was Ally Evens that took the overall after some good racing with Brad Freeman. Brad had a poor first race after a crash allowing Ally to take the overall after finishing second in the other two races. In third place it was Kyle Lane he battled with Keegan Doyle and Robbie Holyoake in all the races!

There was some close racing in the BW 85’s between Jim Lycett and Brad Tranter at the front opening up a gap on the rest of the pack, Brads starts weren’t as good as Jims making it hard work to make his way to the front. In third was Josh Chapman with three thirds and not to far behind was Callum Loveridge.

In the Seniors it was close racing between Josh Macey, Matt Burrows and Charles Statt with Matt coming out on top in race one. In the second race Charles got the better of Matt taking the win in race two. In the last race it was very close but Matt came out on top. Charles first race let him down so he ended up third overall.
