Wasps keep buzzing at Woodcock Farm

May 14, 2008

Warley Wasps had a good days racing at Woodcock Farm, the weather was warm and the three blocks was enjoyed by all.

First over the Gate was the Auto’s this track being really hard for them with the stones but it didn’t stop Elliot Wood from taking the overall with two wins and a second. Not far behind him was Owen Woodhouse who went on to win the last race but with two seconds Elliot still took the overall. In 3rd place overall was Dane Reeves who was battling with Louis Hurst all day.

In the 65’s it was Jordan Saunders with the maximum looking good as always and not to far behind was Kieron Cooke taking second in all the races. Rounding out the top three was Will Pountney having a better day than Abbots Bromley.

The SW85’s were out next with Brad Freeman taking the overall after hitting a fallen rider in the first race but went on to win the other two races. Aaron Coupland was consistent all day and took a well deserved second overall. Ali Evans looked fast this weekend but a crash in race two let him down but still went on to take third overall.

In the BW85’s it was between Brad Tranter and Josh Chapman all day, after Brad winning the first two races he fell on the first lap of the last race. But that didn’t stop him from coming all the way back to second! In third overall was Callum Loveridge who had a great battle with Tom Hughes in the last race of the day.

After good racing in the big wheel it carried on into the seniors with Luke Corbett taking an easy win in the first race, in the second race it was Matt Burrows that won after another poor start. Matt went on to take an easy win in the last race with Luke finishing second. In third overall was Peter Wainwright that was consistent all day with three thirds. Mitch Walker holeshot every race of the day but struggle with blisters.

In the AMX it was a guest rider Brad Mercer winning all three with Andy Woodhouse chasing hard all day, rounding out the top three was Gary Percival on one of the few 2 strokes.

Hope to see the good racing carry on at Clee Hill!
